Habitat: Pine woods and open fields around pavilion, extensive hydric hardwood forest in vicinity.

Substrate: Under wooden kiosk roof, about 9 feet high, facing down

Note: There was one male on the nest that flew off and was followed visually to a nearby field but briefly lost sight of. The below individual was collected in the portion of the field where we lost site of the nest male about a minute later. We cannot be positive it is the same individual that flew off the nest but it is likely. Additional males were collected at this site on this date, but this is the only carolina complex phenotype we found at this locality.
